I think it's important for you and I to consider what God had in mind when He started this project called Man because, a knowledge of this would help us know what to anticipate from God - the manufacturer and Man - the product.
Genesis 1:26 says - Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth". So from the very first mention of the project called Man, the goal of the project was to create another being that looks and functions like God. From the dictionary, "dominion" means - Dominance or power through legal authority, i.e God formalizing the transfer of power. So if Adam had not exhibited these characteristics then we would have said the project of making man failed since the objective wasn't met, but we know Adam did.
Now, when sin came into the world there was an alteration of the original nature of man, subsequent versions of the product - man couldn't function like the Creator intended, so the Creator introduced a remedy, Jesus - the last Adam. The aim is to restore the original nature that was lost in man through sin, but this remedy is only installed by each individual when they accept Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. Therefore, if the nature that was in the first Adam, that dominion that was lost through sin doesn't get restored when we accept Jesus, doesn't that mean that project Jesus was a failed project? But thank God we are sure that Jesus isn't a failed project. Hence, if indeed you have accepted Jesus as your Lord, it means you have that Life of God that produces dominion, that genius that can't help but be anything less than the best. It might be dormant, but it comes with every Jesus installation pack. So don't dull yourself, don't live with such a power within you, and die without making an impact in this generation.
